Allied Universal Services is actively seeking a Professional Hospital Security Officer. This role involves working within a healthcare environment, where our officers play a crucial role in fulfilling our mission to serve, secure, and care for the communities we support. The Professional Security Officer is tasked with ensuring the safety and security of the facilities under their protection. They serve as a visible deterrent to criminal activity and rule violations, identifying and reporting any suspicious or unsafe behaviors that may pose a risk to property, clients, guests, or staff.

Key Responsibilities:

While specific duties may vary based on the facility, the following standards apply:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience in a customer service-related role.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record is required.
  • No criminal charges in the past 7 years; no pending charges accepted.
  • Possession of a valid guard card/license as mandated by state regulations.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
  • Ability to prepare clear and legible reports and logs.
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug test as a condition of employment.
  • Maintain active status of all required licenses while on duty.
  • Ability to manage both routine and crisis situations calmly and effectively.
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with the public and staff.
  • Must be able to handle high-pressure situations involving the general public.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Ability to navigate all floors of the facility, including stairs.
  • Occasional bending and twisting to perform various tasks.
  • Assist in lifting patients as necessary.
  • Capable of restraining individuals when required.
  • Ability to run when necessary.
  • Work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor settings.
Grooming and Uniform Standards:

Uniforms must be clean and worn professionally at all times. Identification badges must be displayed while on duty. Slip-resistant footwear is required, and grooming standards must be adhered to, including facial hair regulations for mask compliance.
