EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
- Required: High school diploma or GED; associate degree is preferred.
- Minimum of two years in family support, community outreach, or a related field.
- Experience in program coordination or management within educational, non-profit, or human services environments.
- Familiarity with community resources and services for families.
- Respect for diverse economic, linguistic, and cultural backgrounds.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to engage with varied populations.
- Capacity to collaborate with families, educational staff, and community partners.
- Proficient in digital communication tools (e.g., Microsoft Office 365) for family and community engagement.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness; receptive to feedback for performance improvement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; adept at clear writing and editing for clarity and correctness.
- Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures; effective prioritization and planning of work activities.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for family engagement initiatives as necessary.

- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- General understanding of Title I, Part A regulations.

- Utilize Karen Mapp's Dual Capacity-Building Framework to enhance family engagement and foster home-school partnerships.
- Apply the 6 Essential Keys of the Community Schools Framework effectively.
- Engage families, students, and community stakeholders to collaboratively develop the Home-School Compact aimed at promoting student success.
- Deliver a variety of needs-driven, high-quality programs and services, including early childhood initiatives, enrichment opportunities, health services, and adult education.
- Facilitate parent training sessions to empower family advocacy and amplify family voices.
- Work with staff to organize workshops that encourage family and community involvement at both district and school levels.
- Serve as a liaison for agencies interested in partnering with the school to support its objectives.
- Collaborate with school and district personnel to connect families with community resources for comprehensive support.
- Establish and manage a Family Resource Center to provide information on school and community resources.
- Prepare promotional materials, evaluations, and documentation to support family and community engagement efforts.
- Collect and analyze data related to family services to assess program impact.
- Recruit and train families and community members to volunteer within the school environment.
- Participate in the School Improvement Team to contribute to the School Improvement Plan and family engagement budget.
- Attend relevant school and community meetings as required.
- Engage in professional development focused on family engagement and community resources.
- Assist in monitoring compliance with Title I, Part A program requirements.
- Maintain necessary documentation for audits as required.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
The role requires the ability to navigate various locations, including standing, walking, and lifting light to medium weights (10-50 pounds). Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity are essential for tasks involving a keyboard. The position also involves frequent sitting, reaching, and effective communication skills.
