Behavioral Therapist

Gloucester Public School is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Therapist to play a vital role in providing direct instruction to students in a school setting. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with Behavior Analysts, Special Education Teachers, and other professionals to implement behavior support plans and data collection.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct instruction in 1:1 and/or small group settings, utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements.
  • Follow prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior support plan guidelines outlined by the Behavior Analyst and team members.
  • Collect and record data on targeted behaviors to increase/decrease.
  • Effectively communicate with service providers regarding individual progress as instructed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
  • Maintain client confidentiality.
  • Assist Special Education Teacher and Behavior Analysts in preparing instructional materials for direct instruction.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming, and organized work and therapy environment.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team, including related service providers.
  • Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required training sessions.
Requirements:
  • Ability to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets accordingly.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and all service providers.
  • Ability to adhere to organizational policies and procedures and abide by code of ethics as indicated by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • Commitment to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA laws.
  • Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills, professional development.
