We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Engineering expert to join our team in Chesterfield County, VA. As a key member of our department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the development and implementation of effective environmental engineering solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and sustainability.

About the Role:

This position involves reviewing and approving engineering plans for subdivision and commercial development, ensuring they conform to acceptable engineering standards for erosion control, drainage, Virginia Stormwater Management Program, Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act, Floodplain Management Ordinance, and other state and local requirements. You will also confer with consulting engineers, developers, and contractors, and respond to inquiries or complaints from the public pertaining to environmental engineering issues.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in civil/environmental engineering including coursework in hydraulics/hydrology and three years of increasingly responsible experience in civil/environmental engineering or a closely related field. State certifications as Plan Reviewer for both Erosion and Sediment Control and Virginia Stormwater Management Program are required within 12 months of employment. A Professional Engineer License or EIT is desired. Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience in working with engineers, developers, contractors, and the public are essential. Additionally, a current valid driver's license and good driving record are required.

Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary range of $69,315 - $93,574 per annum, based on experience and qualifications. Work Environment:
