VCA Animal Hospitals is in search of a skilled Credentialed Veterinary Technician to enhance our Emergency Department team, providing support during night shifts and weekends. We welcome both full-time and part-time candidates.

Are you eager to elevate your patient care skills and expertise? Do you have experience as an RVT and wish to broaden your knowledge while handling diverse cases?

As a 24/7 Specialty and Emergency facility, we are proud to have a dedicated team of compassionate veterinarians, highly proficient RVTs, and a well-trained support staff. New hires will undergo a mentorship program to ensure they are well-prepared before working independently. Candidates should possess a positive mindset and a strong work ethic, with 3-4 years of emergency experience preferred. Self-motivation and the ability to think critically in fast-paced situations are essential.

Key Responsibilities of the Veterinary Technician:

  • Monitoring anesthesia during procedures
  • Full Technician Skill Utilization
  • Gathering patient histories and conducting thorough physical examinations
  • Performing venipuncture and IVC placement
  • Hands-Free Radiology (with a focus on associate safety)
  • Collaborating effectively with team members across all hospital services
  • Providing compassionate care to all patients

Potential Work Schedule: Flexible part-time and full-time availability (nights, weekends, and some holidays)

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience, skill set, and licensure status. Additional differentials for weekend and overnight shifts.
