The American Academy of Actuaries is a premier professional association that serves the public and the U.S. actuarial profession, with over 20,000 members across various industries, including pensions, life insurance, casualty insurance, health insurance, financial reporting, risk management, and more.

A key player in providing leadership and objective expertise to public policymakers on all levels, the Academy assists decision-makers by offering actuarial advice on risk and financial security issues. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks in a busy environment, while also being part of a collaborative team. You will be responsible for agenda development, managing the Practice Council budget, and governance compliance, as well as promoting panels and other external speaking events that spotlight the work and policy positions of the Practice Council.

Understanding of retirement policy issues or insurance is preferred, along with project management experience and experience with Asana.
