Key Responsibilities- Customer Service Quality
- Demonstrate and promote CHAMP behaviors to ensure exceptional patient satisfaction and experience.
- Medication Management
- Conduct timely and accurate medication order reviews, considering patient characteristics, laboratory values, and vital signs.
- Medication Preparation and Distribution
- Demonstrate competency in pharmacy automation and technology to ensure efficient medication preparation and distribution.
- Medication Safety, Regulatory Affairs, and Quality Assurance
- Adhere to all departmental policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines to ensure a safe and compliant environment.
- Leadership
- Provide education and training to pharmacy staff, students, and residents, as well as the healthcare team, to promote knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Financial/Volume Results
- Contribute to departmental cost-reduction and revenue generation initiatives to drive business growth and excellence.
- Education
- Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy with a B.S. or PharmD degree.
- Experience
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 pharmacy residency or equivalent experience is preferred, but not required. Minimum of two years of relevant experience specific to practice area is required.
- Licensure
- Current Connecticut Pharmacist License, or eligible for pharmacist licensure in the state of Connecticut.
- Special Skills
- In-depth knowledge of pharmacology and therapeutics, as well as understanding of pharmacy systems of drug distribution and formulary management.
