Job Summary and Qualifications
The Rehabilitation Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Collaborating with medical professionals, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing support, advocating for patients to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit knowledge of human growth and development, assessment range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to their age.
- Promote customer service initiatives aligned with Skyline Medical Center Service Values.
- Support positive customer service behaviors.
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately.
- Utilize the Nursing Process to tailor care to individual patient needs.
- Demonstrate proficiency in technical skills and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with National Patient Safety Goals, assessing patient conditions during admission and throughout each shift, and reporting any changes in status.
Perform procedures as directed by medical providers and document care in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly. Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses, maintaining knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment relevant to cardiac and medical-surgical care.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license in Tennessee or an appropriate compact state.
- Strong communication skills.
- Education: ASN required; BSN preferred.
