Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Acadia Healthcare. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and facilitating the intake, admissions, and utilization review process for incoming patients. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and facilitate intake, admissions, and utilization review process for incoming patients
  • Plan, assign, supervise, and evaluate activities performed by members of the intake team
  • Develop, implement, and monitor improvement initiatives to enhance and streamline current processes and procedures
  • Implement new patient access systems and processes for the facility
  • Train all direct and indirect staff engaged in daily patient access functions
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient flow
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in patient access or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Background check and clearance
