We are looking for a skilled Financial Accountant Specialist to join our team at You Gotta Believe. As a key member of our Finance department, you will play a critical role in managing our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of accounting. About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full Accounts Payable (AP) life cycle, including vendor setup, coding, and approving invoices, as well as processing disbursements via ACH or check. You will also maintain vendor relationships by providing consistent communication, payment status updates, and fielding other requests. Additionally, you will oversee the full Accounts Receivable (AR) life cycle, including client setup, approval, and distribution of invoices at month-end.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full AP life cycle to include vendor setup, coding, and approving invoices.
  • Maintain vendor relationships through consistent communication and timely payments.
  • Collect W-9 forms for new vendors and process annual 1099 distributions.
  • Process incoming payments, including ACHs and checks, and deposit checks at the bank.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and assist with the Finance Department's transition to a paperless environment.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies and assist with the general accounting functions associated with the monthly close.

Requirements
  • 2-3 years of hands-on financial accounting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
