Job Title: MRI TechnologistCompany: Washington University in St. LouisJob Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to contribute to our team at the Center for Clinical Imaging Research (CCIR) in the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR). As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing MRI examinations for research activities, utilizing new MR imaging technologies, and collaborating with CCIR personnel to implement best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform MRI scans on research subjects in an organized and timely manner, providing patient care and guiding MRI procedures.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and timely research records, including electronic and digital data collection and management.
  • Facilitate data transfer to various computer platforms and software programs, ensuring HIPAA regulations are maintained.
  • Work with staff to implement and develop instructional resources and best practices for project coordination.
  • Establish and maintain strong communication and feedback paths with CCIR staff and R&D groups.
Requirements:
  • Four-year college degree in a science-related field or significant relevant experience in a MR-based research environment.
  • ARRT (R) certification.
  • Firm understanding of Siemens equipment operation.
  • Logical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment with great accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Prioritize work assignments and work under pressure of deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One to three years of relevant experience as a MRI technologist, including experience in a research environment.
  • At least one-year research experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Knowledge of Siemens MR scanners and related computers and medical imaging devices.
