Soliant, a leading healthcare staffing agency, is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join their team in Charleston, SC.
Job OverviewThis full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives by providing essential speech and language services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
Key Responsibilities- Assist the SLP in implementing therapy plans for students with speech and language difficulties, ensuring personalized care and attention to each student's unique needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, promoting effective communication and social skills development.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, facilitating informed decision-making and program evaluation.
- Prepare therapy materials and equipment, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Support the SLP in conducting screenings and informal assessments, identifying areas of need and informing treatment planning.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to ensure students' speech and language needs are addressed within the educational environment, promoting seamless integration and support.
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistance or a related field.
- Valid South Carolina SLPA licensure.
- Previous experience working with children in a school or clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
