Responsibilities
The Vice President of Non-Gaming Operations plays a pivotal role in steering the strategic direction and operational excellence of various departments including Food & Beverage, Hotel Services, and other essential non-gaming functions within the organization. This position is accountable for the formulation and implementation of strategies and operational decisions that align with the overarching business objectives of the company.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Developing a comprehensive operational strategy for all non-gaming sectors, encompassing Hotel, Recreation, Public Areas, Facilities, Security, and Food & Beverage, with actionable initiatives aimed at achieving corporate goals.
- Providing visionary leadership that aligns with the company’s mission, values, and brand standards, while ensuring adherence to administrative policies and procedures.
- Implementing performance expectations, conducting evaluations, and executing coaching and training programs to foster a diverse and high-performing team.
- Mentoring future leaders and enhancing personnel development across the organization by sharing critical information with management, peers, and team members.
- Driving quality assurance and customer service excellence to elevate the property’s reputation, enhance guest loyalty, and ensure team member satisfaction.
- Maximizing revenue through informed financial analysis, strategic pricing, and resource allocation.
- Collaborating with analytics teams to create and validate business models, manage budgets, and establish operational key performance indicators to optimize productivity and profitability.
- Integrating advanced technology and innovative practices into operations to foster a results-driven work environment.
- Conducting market research and competitor analysis to inform new product and service offerings that align with brand strategy.
- Working alongside commercial teams to enhance property amenities and guest experiences through targeted marketing strategies.
- Ensuring the implementation of service standards across all non-gaming operations, providing measurable outcomes to maintain quality and consistency.
- Overseeing the safety and security of company assets while offering insights on capital projects to maintain a clean and compliant environment.
- Demonstrating a commitment to responsible gaming and alcohol service by addressing concerns appropriately.
- Performing additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Possession of valid licenses/certifications as mandated by local regulations.
- Extensive experience in the Gaming industry is essential, with a preference for Tribal Gaming experience.
- Experience with new property openings and related operational tasks is highly desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends.
- Strong commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
- Proven ability to exceed position responsibilities and contribute to organizational success.
- Exemplary organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and anticipate the needs of others.
Work Environment:
- The role is situated in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that may involve exposure to various environmental factors.
