ROLE DESCRIPTION

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Facility Cleaning and Maintenance Associate is a part-time role focused on essential manual labor and upkeep tasks. Duties include supporting maintenance personnel with various responsibilities linked to Township operations.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Conducting regular cleaning and custodial activities such as maintaining locker rooms, offices, fitness areas, and other Township facilities.
  • Executing minor repairs on facilities and equipment as instructed.
  • Setting up and dismantling meeting spaces as required.
  • Assisting maintenance staff in their assigned tasks.
  • Performing additional duties as needed.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS - SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Basic knowledge and proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Capability to operate departmental vehicles, including small vans or pickup trucks.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with the public and colleagues.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Capacity to perform physical labor for extended periods and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • This is an at-will position; work hours and assignments are subject to change based on departmental needs and budget constraints.
