We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital New Brunswick. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures using nuclear medicine techniques.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct nuclear medicine procedures, including bone scans, liver imaging, and cardiac imaging, using specialized equipment and techniques.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients, ensuring accurate dosing and safety protocols.
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, including SPECT and PET scanners.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety.
- 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine or a related field.
- Experience with GE nuclear medicine equipment and SPECT imaging.
- Knowledge of radiopharmaceuticals and their safe handling and administration.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This is a full-time position with a regular schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm. No weekends, no call, and a block schedule.
