IT Point-of-Sale Systems Manager

The Point-of-Sale (POS) Administrator at FiveStar is responsible for managing and ensuring the effective and secure operation of the POS infrastructure. This includes designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing POS hardware and software to support business applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain POS systems and related environments, including POS hardware and software.
- Monitor and troubleshoot POS performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Optimize POS systems for efficiency and scalability.
- Perform regular POS maintenance, updates, and security patches.
- Develop and implement security measures to safeguard data and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees, managing access rights and permissions.
- Collaborate with IT teams and other departments to address cross-functional requirements.
- Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Research and recommend new technologies.
- Provide technical support and training to end users to resolve hardware and software issues.
Requirements:
- A 2-year college or technical degree in a related field, with 4 years of experience, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Point-of-Sale and adjacent systems.
- Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, operating systems, or related software.
- Valid Driver's License.
