We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric/Neonatal Transport team at Sunrise Hospital. As a Neonatal Pediatric Transport Nurse, you will provide critical care to infants and pediatric patients during inter-hospital transports, utilizing your expertise in pediatric critical care and neonatal critical care to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide total patient care during inter-hospital transports, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Facilitate the transfer of patients and complete all transport shifts as assigned, while maintaining a willingness to participate in outreach activities on behalf of the department/hospital.
- Perform delegated medical functions within the parameters of the Nurse Practice Act, policies and procedures, and protocols.
- Initiate emergency protocols independently, following ACLS, PALS, and NRP guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Physician and referral staff to develop an individualized plan of care for the patient.
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred.
- Current Nevada RN license.
- Minimum of five (5) years as an RN with three (3) years of full-time pediatric critical care or neonatal critical care experience as an RN required.
- Obtain and maintain certifications in BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and TNCC.
- Specialty certification required to the transport team (such as CFRN, CTRN, CCRN, RNC, CEN, CPEN, or other certification related to pediatric, neonatal, and/or transport critical care), and C-NPT required within one (1) year of hire and independently maintained while employed on transport team.
