Zekelman Industries is seeking a skilled Mateline Constructor to join our Field Services Division. Located in various locations in Texas and Arizona, this role requires multiple years of general hands-on construction experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with hand and/or power equipment in a construction setting
  • Hanging, Taping, and Finishing drywall
  • Painting
  • Ceiling Installation
  • General Architectural finishes such as cabinet, door, and door hardware installation
  • Closet shelving installation
  • Material handling
  • Ensuring proper safety procedures are followed
  • Operating mobile equipment
  • Operating packing and banding equipment
  • All other general construction tasks required to completely finish the communities new apartments
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or Equivalent
  • Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role
  • Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy

Physical Abilities:

  • Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
  • Must have general construction experience
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for several hours
  • Ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push, and pull
  • Must be able to lift 60lbs
  • Must be able to stand for 10-12 hours
  • Ability to perform work in a plant/manufacturing environment
  • Other physical requirements as needed for job
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
