About the Role

As a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer at Wunderlich-Malec, you will play a crucial role in driving the design and development of large-scale mechanical systems for various projects.

This position involves overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept to delivery. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that all designs meet the required safety standards, are efficient, and align with our company's quality goals.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Designing and implementing fully integrated mechanical assembly systems that meet client requirements.
  • Developing detailed documentation and drawings for system configuration and design.
  • Troubleshooting pneumatic and hydraulic control systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Performing thorough system analysis and calculations, including stress, fatigue, and reliability assessments.
  • Leading technical teams on projects and guiding junior engineers and technicians.
  • Managing smaller projects from start to finish, developing implementation plans and schedules.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical systems, stress analysis, and amusement ride safety standards.
  • Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 35% travel may be required for project meetings and site visits.

Compensation Package

We offer an attractive compensation package, including a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $140,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
