Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool team at South Austin Hospital TX. As a Travel Nurse RN, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients on the Float Pool unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor and report patient condition to the healthcare team, including any changes or concerns.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Texas.
  • 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a float pool or similar setting.
  • ACLS certification and CPR certification.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and nights, as well as weekends and holidays.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

  • Unit guidelines and policies: Follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
