Associate Director of Native American Student Success

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Associate Director to join our team at the University of Minnesota Morris. This role will play a key part in supporting the success of Native American students and promoting diversity and inclusion on campus.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of programs and services to support Native American students, including academic support, cultural events, and community engagement.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to create a welcoming and inclusive campus environment.
- Develop and manage budgets, grants, and other resources to support program initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor staff and students to ensure effective program delivery.
- Assess and evaluate program effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as education, student affairs, or Native American studies.
- At least 4 years of experience working with Native American students, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Strong knowledge of Native American cultures, histories, and lifeways.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and build strong relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
- Masters degree in a relevant field.
- Experience teaching or mentoring students.
- Knowledge of college success and retention strategies for disadvantaged populations.
- Experience working with tribal colleges or Native American organizations.
