Recreation and Parks Aide

The Recreation and Parks Aide - Part-Time position is responsible for assisting in the planning and implementation of recreational programs and activities for the City of Dayton. This role will work closely with the Recreation and Parks team to ensure the success of various programs and events.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development and implementation of recreational programs and activities
- Work with the Recreation and Parks team to plan and execute events and programs
- Provide support to program leaders and staff as needed
- Assist with maintenance duties to ensure program success and a clean, safe working environment
- Graduation from high school (or G.E.D.)
- A minimum of 500 hours of experience in recreational programming with a public or private recreation agency
- Valid driver's license at time of appointment and maintenance thereafter
A background investigation and evidence of Employment Authorization and Identity is required prior to employment. All candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position.
Final appointment is contingent upon the applicant passing a job-related medical examination including drug screen. Applicants offered employment with the City will be required to pass a nicotine screening.
