Job SummaryPenn Medicine Lancaster General Health is seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our Sports Medicine team. As an Athletic Trainer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support to athletes and patients in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with athletic injuries and conditions, utilizing evidence-based practices and protocols.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Conduct physical examinations, take medical histories, and perform diagnostic tests as needed.
- Provide education and guidance to patients on injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation.
- Collaborate with coaches, trainers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and communication.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Graduate of a CAATE-accredited Athletic Training Program.
- Current certification as an Athletic Trainer, issued by the National Board of Certification (BOC).
- CPR Healthcare/BLS certification.
- Valid current driver's license.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- PA licensed or eligible as an Athletic Trainer.
- One year of experience in a traditional athletic training setting.
- Clinical experience in an outpatient office setting.
