Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Staff Dentist to join our team at Finger Lakes Community Health. As a Staff Dentist, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic and treatment services to our patients, including routine and emergency care, general restorative procedures, and minor oral surgery.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide routine and emergency dental services, including diagnosis and treatment plans, general restorative procedures, and minor oral surgery.
  • Order x-rays and interpret results.
  • Administer and prescribe anesthetics and medications as needed.
  • Direct dental staff to schedule follow-up appointments as necessary.
  • Refer patients to other clinical programs or outside agencies as needed.
Dental Team Supervision

You will oversee site dental staff to ensure patient care meets appropriate dental standards, chart and lock notes in a timely manner, and address telephone encounters and actions in the electronic health record system.

Education and Qualifications
  • A current unrestricted license to practice as a Dentist in NYS.
  • CPR certification required.
  • 1-3 years of experience working in a dental setting.
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings.
  • A valid NYS driver's license in compliance with FLCH driver's policy.
  • The ability to communicate fluently in both Spanish and English is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to hear and communicate with clients and staff via phone, web media, and in person.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to kneel, crawl, or bend into awkward spaces.
