Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and standards as outlined in accounting literature.
  • Handle incoming communications with professionalism, ensuring excellent phone and email etiquette with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Utilize QuickBooks Online and Desktop for various accounting tasks.
  • Reconcile and document daily, weekly, and monthly financial transactions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, sales tax, payroll, and other financial data.
  • Conduct financial analyses, preparing monthly key performance indicators (KPIs), budget versus actual comparisons, trending analyses, and other financial metrics.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required; a Master's degree in accountancy or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a public or private accounting environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Prior experience with Thomson Reuters accounting applications is advantageous.
  • Required proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms.
  • Basic understanding and experience in planning and coordinating audits for private companies.
  • Knowledge of internal accounting controls and adherence to professional standards and regulations (GAAP, GAAS, Sarbanes-Oxley, etc.).
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Open to quality control review processes, including feedback and review notes.
