Job Title: Strategic Financial Officer, Corporate

Riverside Insights is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Financial Officer to join our Corporate team. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in driving financial excellence and strategic growth across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute key financial projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Facilitate annual exit preparation, including dry-runs, diligence activities, modeling, business overview, and presentation materials.
  • Enhance financial metrics and reporting systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with vertical leadership teams and departmental leaders to design and build a budget and 5-year planning process aligned with Riverside's goals.
  • Ensure all systems (NetSuite, CUBE, Snowflake, and Tableau) contain accurate and consistent financial data.
  • Oversee the timely delivery of all external reporting.
  • Facilitate quarterly review meetings to adjust and refine financial forecasts, maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing business conditions.
  • Partner with Corporate leaders to generate expense forecasts, budgets, and reporting items.
  • Train department heads and managers in understanding and using financial reports.
Requirements:
  • Finance degree (4-year) required, MBA or CFA preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in finance, with a focus on investment banking and SaaS companies.
  • Knowledge of NetSuite, Snowflake, Tableau, and other financial systems.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cost control.
  • M&A experience and senior-level mastery of data analysis and efficient acquisition of data across multiple platforms.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to derive meaningful insights from financial data.
  • Ability to translate and communicate financial data into actionable business strategies.
  • Experience leading cross-functional efforts and projects with high-quality and on-time delivery.
  • Resourceful in problem-solving and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
  • High-level of intellectual curiosity regarding the business and senior-level business acumen to apply and articulate the business story behind the financials.
  • Ability to work and lead cross-functionally to build consensus on the outlook for the vertical (forecasting) leveraging data insights and analysis.
  • Has a keen attention to detail and a commitment to rigorous iterative processing that drives a high level of financial and data accuracy.
  • Effectively communicates with all levels of leadership and individual contributors to clearly and concisely describe inputs needed and drive tight timelines.
  • Ability to work through- and bring structure to ambiguity, leveraging a consistent approach and methodology across all business areas.
Physical Requirements:
  • Remote work arrangement.
  • Atlanta or Chicago area preferred.
  • Must be in the ET or CT time zones.
  • Up to 10% travel for off-site team meetings.
  • May require stationary positions (sitting or standing) for extended periods.
