Diesel Mechanic/Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic/Technician to join our team at Interstate Power Systems Inc. in Billings, Montana.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related components in trucks, buses, and other heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and filter replacements.
  • Communicate effectively with peers, foremen, and service teams to ensure efficient repairs and high-quality work.
  • Meet requirements for certifications and maintain a high level of technical expertise.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license (bonus compensation for CDL holders)
  • Excellent understanding of Detroit Diesel engines through the current GHG17 product
  • Experience with other diesel engine platforms, such as Cummins, CAT, and International, is a plus
  • Physical ability to lift and work with no restrictions
Desired Skills/Qualities:
  • Positive attitude and ability to set goals and accomplish them
