Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Coordination: Demonstrate leadership skills in the coordination and delivery of patient care, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Patient Assessment and Care: Systematically assess the health care of patients/families and respond to care rendered, utilizing critical thinking skills to problem-solve and initiate clinical decision-making.
  • Clinical Decision Making: Evaluate patient progress toward health goals and modify the critical path or plan of care accordingly, ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction and outcomes.
  • Direct Patient Care: Develop, coordinate, and provide direct care for specific patient assignments, ensuring a safe and comprehensive environment for patients/families.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with patient/family and members of the healthcare team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: New York State License for Registered Professional Nurse and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State as an RN required. BSN degree required and 5 years clinical experience, two of which must be in the specialty or related service; or combination of education and experience acceptable to Clinical Director of Nursing or designee.
  • Certification and Competency: Certification preferred in specialty or efforts to achieve certification. Demonstrates clinical leadership, problem-solving skills, competency, and principles of Montefiore Excellence.
