As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Kaiser Permanente, you will provide comprehensive mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to adult and child members. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement clinical treatment programs for members with acute or chronic mental health needs.
- Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing evidence-based practices and psychotherapy research methods.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat a broad range of psychiatric conditions, including crisis intervention and stabilization.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination.
- Develop and conduct psychoeducational classes and groups to promote mental health awareness and education.
- Participate in departmental program development, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring alignment with Kaiser Permanente's quality and safety standards.
- Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) with Couples and Families Endorsement within 24 months of hire.
- National Provider Identifier required at hire.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and professional board standards related to member treatment, patient rights, and member/patient confidentiality.
- Previous post-license experience as a member of a psychiatric treatment team in an outpatient or inpatient setting/program under licensed supervision.
- Previous clinical responsibility to include crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy.
- Demonstrated professional maturity and ethical integrity necessary for assuming professional responsibilities.
