Job Summary

The Merchandise Planner will support the Senior Merchandise Planner in gathering data and analysis to create efficient inventory plans. This role will involve analyzing in-season and historical data to inform future planning, creating and managing style-level inventory plans, and proactively managing performance to plan in-season. The ideal candidate will have strong financial and analytical skills, as well as excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Senior Merchandise Planner to create pre-season sales and inventory plans that align with historical performance and financial targets.
  • Re-forecast item-level plans in-season for assigned categories, ensuring alignment with tops-down, monthly forecast and channel level goals.
  • Provide hindsight analysis and partner with merchandising on future product positioning and opportunities.
  • Coordinate and manage inventory fulfillment for the Amazon channel, partnering with third-party suppliers to ensure profitability.
  • Monitor end-of-life product and discontinued stock.
  • Analyze markdown sales and recommend pricing in line with financial targets.
  • Analyze size curves each season to provide insights on how to plan for future buys.
  • Update weekly reports and distribute to internal teams.
  • Generate purchase orders and coordinate with the Operations team and suppliers on any PO change requests.
  • Maintain Time and Action (T&A) calendars and update internal calendars to ensure alignment on most recent timelines/deadlines.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Business, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of related experience, preferably in merchandise planning.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite and NetSuite.
