Experienced Superintendent

Bergman KPRS, a leading national General Contractor/Project Management firm, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Superintendent to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in medical, grocery, retail T.I.'s, and fast food work to lead our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in field supervision, project management, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule and Coordinate: Manage subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Quality Control: Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
• Communication: Communicate with project teams regarding ASI's, RFI's, and Material Submittals.
• Subcontractor Management: Ensure subcontractors are fully executing and complying with their contracted scope of work.
• Inspections: Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
• Safety and Compliance: Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
• Conflict Resolution: Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project teams for resolution.
• Logistics: Maintain daily logs of activities on the jobsite.
• Deficiency Resolution: Ensure subcontractors have corrected all deficiencies identified by project teams.
• Meetings and Communication: Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings and issue notices of non-compliance.
• Job Site Management: Ensure the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
• Project Completion: Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
• Budgeting and Bidding: Assist in budgeting, bidding, and award of subcontracts.
• Permits and Approvals: Assist in obtaining permits or approval of revisions.
• Material Submittals: Gather project material submittals and maintain records of approvals at the job-site.
• Scope Identification: Identify areas of work that are outside of subcontracted scope.
• Teamwork and Professionalism: Demonstrate strong teamwork and professionalism skills, including objectivity, openness, and respect for others.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of STRONG verifiable experience with thorough knowledge of various trades.
• Hands-on Experience: Must have hands-on building experience on site as a Superintendent.
• Blueprint Reading: Ability to read Blueprints.
• Documentation: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Communication: Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and ProCore.
• Appearance: Strong, clean professional appearance.
