We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in the Emergency Department at Hillcrest Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing expert medication management and clinical pharmacy services to patients in a fast-paced emergency setting.
Key Responsibilities- Medication Management: Develop and implement effective medication therapy plans for patients in the Emergency Department, taking into account their medical history, current condition, and treatment goals.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work closely with ER physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize pharmacotherapeutic aspects of patient care and ensure seamless communication.
- Medication Safety and Quality: Monitor and address medication-related problems promptly, documenting all interventions and patient interactions in the electronic health record.
- Education and Training: Train and mentor Pharm.D. students and pharmacy residents in the ER setting, providing hands-on experience and didactic instruction.
- Research and Quality Improvement: Engage in research related to emergency medicine, with opportunities for presentations and publications, and contribute to the development and evaluation of ER-specific medication management programs and quality improvement initiatives.
- Education: B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Licensure: Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy.
- Certifications: BLS & ACLS certification (BLS required within 90 days of hire; ACLS required for attending Code Blue).
