Housekeeping Professional

The primary objective of this Housekeeping role is to undertake scheduled cleaning tasks as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor. This may involve sweeping, mopping, dusting, washing windows, shampooing and vacuuming carpets, rearranging furniture, etc., and generally maintaining cleanliness of furniture, equipment, fixtures, and hardware.

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas on a daily basis in accordance with Facility protocols.
• Uses proper chemicals in appropriate quantities.
• Maintains floors through dust mopping, wet mopping, or spot-mopping.
• Empties trash containers, replaces liners as necessary, and disposes of trash in designated receptacles.
• Vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.
• Washes and dries windows using suitable chemicals and equipment.
• Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance department as required.
• Solicits necessary supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
• Identifies and rectifies safety hazards while adhering to safety guidelines.
• Reviews Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and acknowledges employees' responsibility to enforce it.
• Attends weekly in-services, understands, and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
• Affirms patient/resident safety.
• Performs additional duties and tasks as delegated.
