Role Objective:
The primary focus of this role is to ensure that all policies, procedures, and activities related to the Pickle Galvanized Line are executed effectively to meet the operational goals of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Adhere to safety, environmental, and quality standards, including Responsible Steel guidelines where applicable.
2) Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas and surrounding environments.
3) Communicate effectively with the Pickle Galvanized Line Operations and other departments to optimize uptime, process management, and enhancements.
4) Oversee proper crane operations and the maintenance of equipment.
5) Support team members in daily tasks and contribute to their development while prioritizing crew safety.
Required Qualifications:
1) Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, and self-driven.
2) Strong understanding of team dynamics, excellent verbal communication skills, and proficiency in computer usage.
3) Ability to work independently without direct oversight.
4) High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is advantageous.
5) Familiarity with steel mill operations is beneficial.
Work Environment and Physical Demands: The role is situated in a typical steel mill production setting, characterized by extreme temperatures, elevated noise levels, and dusty or greasy conditions. The position requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift and maneuver heavy items throughout the shift. Standard working hours consist of 12-hour shifts, which may alternate between day and night schedules, including weekends, holidays, and potential overtime as necessary.
Supervisory Role:
This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.
