Surgical Pathologist Opportunity in Eastern North Carolina

Job DescriptionWe are seeking board-certified Surgical Pathologists to join our established program at ECU Health Medical Center, a level 1 trauma and 974-bed Academic Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina. Our pathology program manages approximately 30,000 surgical and 7,000 cytology cases annually, including 1,300 fine needle aspirates.

- Established anatomic pathology division with 9 surgical pathologists centralized in one tertiary care center hospital laboratory
- Hybrid subspecialty case distribution, with focus on areas of individual expertise and interest, and general surgical pathology sign-out
Pathologists are actively involved in the training of pathology residents and participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards as part of accredited cancer programs. Shared call includes frozen section support and the opportunity to participate in laboratory directorship of limited-scope satellite laboratories, supported by the full team of departmental subject matter experts in anatomic and clinical pathology.
