Position Summary

As a Process Operator, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage all processing equipment and machinery to ensure the production of high-quality snacks in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review production schedules to confirm the correct product is processed and directed to the appropriate packaging line.
  • Adjust processing machines (fryers) for different product specifications as needed.
  • Regularly replace knives to maintain product quality.
  • Monitor machine settings and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Conduct continuous quality checks for salt, moisture, oil absorption, defects, breakage, and color.
  • Perform sample tests on incoming potato shipments.
  • Manage and monitor salt application machinery.
  • Carry out minor maintenance on all systems.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas to ensure safety.
  • Complete and submit all required documentation and checklists.
  • Maintain open communication with departments such as maintenance, production, quality assurance, and supervision.
Weekly Duties
  • Track and report maintenance needs following weekly shutdowns.
  • Conduct weekly cleaning of fryers and surrounding areas.
  • Utilize cleaning chemicals safely.
  • Consistently use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned by supervision.
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions.
  • Be available for overtime as required.
  • Adhere to Good Housekeeping Practices (GHP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Work towards achieving and maintaining GFSI & BRC certifications.
Qualifications
  • General Education
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, and to follow verbal and written instructions, production sheets, procedure manuals, and safety guidelines.
