Job Summary

Citizens National Bank of Bossier City is seeking a highly skilled Universal Banker to join our team. As a key member of our retail banking team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting bank products and services, and assisting customers with their financial needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to current and potential customers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist customers with opening new accounts, including compiling and preparing new account paperwork and applications.
  • Identify and inform customers of account status discrepancies and disputes, and provide options to resolve.
  • Process loan payments, record and issue transaction receipts, and receive and verify cash and checks for deposit.
  • Assist customers with Individual Retirement Account services, including contributions and distributions, and open new IRAs and provide appropriate documentation.
  • Perform teller duties as necessary, including processing deposits, checks and payments, verifying cash and endorsements, and issuing receipts.
  • Assist customers with Interactive Teller Machines and understand and review check endorsements and apply endorsement standards.
  • Make sound decisions based on level of authority, the risk of the transaction, and customer expectations, and assist employees with approval authority needs within individual authority guidelines.
  • Understand and adhere to all applicable federal and state laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and related anti-money laundering laws and Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC).
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of Bookkeeping, Account Services, or Universal Banking experience preferred.
  • 1 year teller experience required.
  • 1 + year of customer service and opening of retail bank accounts required.
  • Ability to function productively in a high volume and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • NMLS qualifications met.
