Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager, the Lab Support Technician Lead will oversee the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This role will also provide guidance and support to laboratory staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and delegate tasks to laboratory staff, ensuring that all deadlines are met.
  • Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring that it is in good working order.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to resolve technical issues and improve laboratory processes.
  • Provide training and guidance to new laboratory staff, ensuring that they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with laboratory regulations and standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as vendors and suppliers.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Two years of experience in a laboratory setting, with a focus on leadership and supervision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of laboratory regulations and standards, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
