Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare for surgical procedures by collecting necessary supplies and instruments according to Surgeon Preference Card.
  • Prepare the Operating Room for cases by opening sterile supplies, setting up table, arranging instruments and supplies according to type of case.
  • Assist the surgical team during the operative procedure, maintaining correct count of instruments, needles and sponges, and identifying and caring for specimens.
  • Clean and prepare rooms between procedures and terminally clean at the end of the day, returning unused supplies and instruments to proper storage.
  • Maintain aseptic techniques and actively monitor situations which could lead to breaches in aseptic technique, taking action to correct.
  • Complete annual age-specific accountabilities and maintain certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Surgical Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of office equipment.

Working Conditions

This is a night shift position at our Greer Medical Campus. As a member of our team, you will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to our organization's values and standards.
