Job Summary:

Central Carolina Hospital is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care by performing laboratory tests and analyzing results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient specimen analysis for diagnostic purposes, under the supervision of a medical technologist or section leader.
  • Enter all results into the computer system.
  • Maintain laboratory inventory.
  • Collect and process specimens in blood bank, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, serology/immunology, phlebotomy, and drug screen collections.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in laboratory science, or chemical or biological science.
  • Equivalent education combination of training and education (Minimum educational or experience requirements may be modified on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Lab Director if minimal CLIA requirements are met by the employee for the tasks being performed).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Scientist by the ASCP or equivalent agency.
