Hunt, Guillot & Associates is seeking a highly skilled Lead Civil Structural Engineer to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA.

Job Summary

The Lead Civil Structural Engineer will oversee and be responsible for the technical aspects of projects, including design, calculations, and field work. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with project teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage project teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with project requirements
  • Collaborate with clients to understand project needs and develop solutions
  • Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and other project-related documents
  • Manage and maintain project records, including documentation and communication
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
  • Professional Engineering registration, by examination
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on civil engineering
  • Proficiency in STAAD Pro, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Windows, and MS Word
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD 2018 or newer version and 3D drawing
  • Experience working in a consulting engineering firm
  • Knowledge of engineering design principles and practices
