Job Summary:

In this role, you will represent Bechtel as the supplier's project quality point of contact, ensuring that supplier equipment, material, documentation, and personnel activities conform to the requirements of procurement documents.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Represent Bechtel as the supplier's prime contact with respect to supplier quality and perform quality surveillance activities defined by the assignment scope.
  • Review procurement document requirements with supplier representatives to ensure they are understood and implemented.
  • Monitor supplier personnel activities, including witnessing of operations, inspections, examinations, or tests, to verify procurement document requirements have been met.
  • Perform hands-on inspections to verify the efficacy of supplier inspection efforts and provide assurance of the conformance of equipment or materials to procurement document requirements.
  • Review supplier-generated quality verification documentation to verify conformance to procurement document requirements.
  • Reject material found nonconforming and collaborate with the supplier and project supplier quality personnel to obtain a course of supplier action that facilitates satisfactory disposition of disclosed non-conformances.
  • Release conforming material for shipment and notify other Bechtel functional organizations to assist in coordination of their activities.
  • Evaluate supplier conformance to specified quality criteria on a specific assignment or group of assignments to provide input to recommendations for placement of future orders.
  • Conduct surveys or audits of suppliers, when assigned.
  • Participate as an audit team member or technical resource for nuclear material and/or quality program audits.
  • Monitor the administrative and technical performance of Third Party Agency quality surveillance contractor personnel to assure that Corporate Supplier Quality Manual and Procedures and quality surveillance assignment instructions are implemented.

Education and Experience Requirements:

This role requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant industry experience in inspection and testing activities.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Prior experience in writing technical procedures and problem-solving.
