Job Description

Netsimco is a Saalex company that provides Cyber Security, Information Technology, and Engineering Services to government agencies.

As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining development, test, and production databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain databases for development, test, and production environments.
  • Implement and enforce security protocols in accordance with Department of Defense standards.
  • Perform capacity planning, database tuning, and optimization, as well as system resource planning and allocation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with database availability, performance, and integrity.
  • Control and monitor user access to the database.
  • Apply patches and updates regularly.
  • Migrate existing databases to the latest SQL servers.
  • Evaluate and implement new database technologies.

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server databases.
  • Experience working in a VMWare environment is preferred.
  • Experience configuring database mirroring and load balancing is preferred.
  • Microsoft DP-300 certification is preferred.
