Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of cloud operations to ensure seamless and efficient performance across all cloud environments, including Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring tools to track performance, costs, and resource usage, and troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Implement Managed Apps, Service Catalogues, Virtual Machines, and Service Bus technologies, and set up and manage database services, including NoSQL, SQL, and its managed instances.
  • System Monitoring and Maintenance: Perform daily system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, review system and application logs, and verify completion of scheduled jobs.
  • Security and Compliance: Perform and record regular patching of the hosting environments to ensure system security and stability, and manage cloud backups and disaster recovery solutions, verifying the integrity of backups regularly.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor all cloud environment performances, including CPU, Disk Space, Network, etc., and create and monitor critical alerts for all systems, connecting to On-Call notification systems.
  • Support and Collaboration: Act as a primary point of contact and provide troubleshooting and support for cloud-related issues, including liaising with vendors for critical incident support and/or advisory, and assist with the creation and maintenance of architectural diagrams for new and existing service deployments.
  • Cloud Tool Evaluation and Implementation: Assist in research, evaluation, and implementation of new cloud tools to optimize efficiency, performance, and cost, and monitor and assist in optimizing cloud spending, reporting to management on actual and projected monthly cloud services costs.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Provide support to other departments for other business applications and collaborate closely with DevOps teams, ensuring best practices in SDLC and effective code management.
  • Scripting and Automation: Familiarity with scripting and automation for cloud administration by leveraging PowerShell CLI and automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, and Azure CLI.
  • After-Hours Support: Participate in after-hours support rotation as a subject matter expert (SME) for Cloud Services.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Technology or equivalent technical experience required.
  • Experience: At least 2+ years of relevant Cloud experience.
  • Cloud Platform Proficiency: Proficiency in Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud platforms.
  • Cloud Networking: Familiarity with Cloud-based Networking, including VNETs, application gateways, and load balancing.
  • Cloud Storage Management: Skilled in cloud storage management.
  • Scripting and Automation: Proven ability in scripting and automation for deployment and operational tasks.
  • OS Internals and Virtualization: Understanding of OS internals, virtualization products, and technologies.
  • Disaster Recovery: Experienced in disaster recovery planning, implementation, and execution.
  • Operating System Support: Proficiency in supporting and upgrading Windows and Linux systems.
  • Automation Tools: Strong grasp of PowerShell CLI and automation tools (e.g., Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, Azure CLI).
  • Change Management: Familiarity with change management best practices.
  • Industry Trends: Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends.
Additional Requirements:
  • On-Call Services: Ability to provide On-Call and after-hours services for critical incidents, including patching and maintenance of all Cloud environments.
