The City of Pearland, TX is seeking a dynamic and caring leader to join our Parks and Recreation department as a Part-Time Recreation Attendant - Senior Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and improving aspects of the day-to-day operations of our recreational facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and oversee the activities of contracted instructors, officials, rentals, and volunteers.
- Provide exceptional customer service to participants, spectators, umpires, and citizens regarding recreation programs and parks.
- Log daily visitation and evaluate participant needs and interest to make recommendations.
- Assist with administrative duties at the front desk, including answering phone calls, selling and renewing memberships, and giving tours.
- Clean and maintain facilities as needed, including locking and securing buildings and recreation areas.
Additional Duties:
- Prepare for events by assisting in event setup and participating in event tear down.
- Oversee daily use and special events of the Natatorium by department staff, schools, military, community organizations, and clubs.
- Patrol facilities to detect damage and report damages to the appropriate authority.
- Assist with filtration system operation, maintenance, and repair.
Requirements:
- High School graduation or GED equivalent.
- Experience working with the Senior population is preferred.
Special Certifications and Licenses:
- Valid Texas Driver's License.
- Current certification in First Aid and CPR, or the ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire date.
