As a key contributor, you will engage in the following responsibilities:
Design and develop holding fixtures and gauges to minimize measurement errors during inspections.
Formulate inspection strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
Document and refine programs used in metrology laboratories, such as CALYPSO, Polyworks, and PC-DMIS, while serving as a technical authority in metrology inspection.
Experience with CAD software, including NX or SolidWorks, is advantageous.

Assist in Engineering New Product Development in Metrology by providing sample measurements and feedback, participating early in drawing and GD&T reviews, and evaluating supplier measurement capabilities.

Utilize statistical methods to analyze measurement standards and processes, ensuring accurate and repeatable measurement strategies. Experience in running R&R studies and addressing subpar results is essential. Proficiency in Minitab or Excel is preferred.
Interpret drawings with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) according to ASME Y14.5 to ascertain product inspection requirements.
Oversee and manage deliverables to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations.
Collaborate with a global team on standardized measurement platforms and processes as necessary.
Establish and maintain an effective Calibration System for gauge and equipment control on an ongoing basis.

Engage in design reviews with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with specifications, providing insights based on instrument capabilities and limitations.

Lead technical dimensional measurement planning as required.
Foster and maintain professional, cross-functional relationships across all Milwaukee Tool divisions.

Qualifications:
Associate degree or higher in engineering, design, or manufacturing fields.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in conducting measurements, programming inspections, designing gauges and fixtures, and interpreting engineering drawings.
Proficient in Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 for at least 3 years.
Ability to adapt to change effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks as assigned.
Strong oral and written communication skills with both technical and management audiences.

Experience with various measurement equipment, including CMMs, vision systems, 3D scanning, hand gauges, and open layout techniques.

Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
