Job Title: Process Instructor

Vestas is seeking a highly skilled Process Instructor to join our team. As a Process Instructor, you will play a central role in developing the skills of our production workers and ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote workplace safety and educate team members on safety policies and procedures.
  • Train team members on policies and process documentation, including PWIs, Drawings, and Job Cards.
  • Identify and address poor quality work, and report any employee violations of policy.
  • Train team members on new ECOs and best practices in the department.
  • Primary trainer for new employee induction and training of new employees to level 3 within a set time frame.
  • Appraise task performance and set development goals.
  • Primary trainer for cross-factory training and training of employees from other factories on new technologies and methods.
  • Audit training levels of all production staff in the department through regular reviews of performance and TDR records.
  • Represent Vestas in a professional manner, following company, factory, and department policies.
  • Effectively manage priorities and balance production with production capacity.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong natural ability to work in teams, high degree of adaptability and flexibility, strong desire to learn new skills and knowledge, excellent work ethic, dependability, and dedication to the team/company.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Level 4 skill level in relevant TDR areas; ability to analyze tasks with an attention to detail.
  • Maintain successful completion of Quality Certification.
  • Conflict resolution and communication skills, executed with respect, care, and concern for colleagues.
  • Natural drive for personal development with a willingness to learn from others; willing to share openly with colleagues; teaches others with patience and persistence.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lb., and occasionally lift to 35 pounds own their own and team lift up to 70 lbs., as well as occasionally push and/or pull with up to 70 f.lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and when assigned to NDT (nondestructive testing) the ability to differentiate colors.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms above shoulder level and at shoulder level; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk and occasionally required to sit.
