Position Overview:
The Customer Service Associate is tasked with managing monetary transactions with patrons while ensuring an exceptional level of service throughout their experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately identify products and their respective prices, efficiently processing transactions using a cash register or other pricing tools.
- Provide accurate receipts, refunds, credits, or change to customers.
- Maintain the cash register and its contents in an orderly manner.
- Complete cash drawer reconciliation and sales reports at the end of each shift.
- Welcome customers with a smile, address their inquiries, and offer information regarding products, promotions, and policies. Express gratitude to each customer.
- Keep the cash station tidy and organized; replenish the sales area with necessary supplies and products.
- Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the retail environment.
- Stay vigilant regarding safety concerns and report any issues to management promptly.
- Partial High School education; a High School Diploma or G.E.D. is preferred.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Strong sanitation practices.
- Professional demeanor.
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide high-quality service to guests.
- Capability to complete cash handling training successfully.
- Awareness of potential problems and the ability to report them to management.
- Ability to move about the establishment to complete tasks, including frequent transitions between locations.
- Capacity to lift, carry, and push weights ranging from 10 lbs. regularly, 10-15 lbs. frequently, and up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to adapt to temperature variations in both indoor and outdoor settings.
- Proficiency in reading and writing work-related documents in English.
- Clear verbal communication skills, including understanding and being understood by customers and colleagues.
- Consistent interaction and communication with team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Regular physical presence in the workplace to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Ability to stand for the duration of the work shift.
- Familiarity with cash register systems and computers utilized in the workplace.
