About the Role

This position is located at our Hanover Dermatological Clinic. We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and precise Histotechnologist to prepare tissue samples for microscopic examination by a pathologist. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, certification as a Histotechnologist, and experience working in a clinical laboratory setting.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare tissue specimens for routine and special procedures to confirm a patient's diagnosis.
  • Perform microtomy, grossing, and inking of frozen tissue.
  • Analyze data, maintain instruments, and perform quality control according to manufacturer's instructions and laboratory guidelines.
  • Document all activities and results, including corrective actions.
The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Our office hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., with occasional extended hours due to circumstances.
