Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, coordinate, and deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure timely and effective care.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, industry standards, and best practices to promote a safe and supportive environment.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • RN-Registered Nurse licensure for the state where care is provided.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
  • ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support: Labor & Delivery within 30 days.
  • NRP-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider: Labor & Delivery within 30 days.
  • Fetal Monitoring Certificate.
  • 5 years of recent relevant experience.
  • Experience with C-section recoveries.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated general knowledge and competence with regard to nursing theories, concepts, and practices.
  • Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, safety precaution policies, best practices regarding patient care and privacy, and changes in local/state/federal regulations.
  • Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
  • Time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize patient care, assignments, and work within standardized policies, procedures, and practices to achieve objectives and meet time-sensitive activities.
Work Environment

This position may regularly work, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer drug(s) identified as hazardous, or potentially hazardous, by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) for purposes of USP 800.

Pay Range is $68.66 to $89.93 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
